for press, programs.. the full biography is available in clicking on this link PAULINE HAAS was born in 1992. Attracted at an early age by the performing arts, she chooses the harp in 2000 and gives her first recital three years later. At the age of 13, she was awarded the First Prize in the Concours International Lily Laskine Junior, as well as the Prize for the best interpretation of a contemporary work. She remains to this day the only French harpist to have won this competition. On the same year, she gave her first concert as a soloist with orchestra, conducting herself. In 2007, Pauline was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. She finished her studies by obtaining, with a year’s advance, her Master 2, "mention très bien", the equivalent of the former Premier Prix du Conservatoire de Paris. In 2012, she was named as one of the three Révélation Soliste Instrumental at Victoires de la Musique Classique (equivalent of classical Grammy Awards on the French National Television). She gives 80 concerts per year in the world, in recital, chamber music (among others regularly with Thomas Bloch - glass harmonica and ondes Martenot -, Leandro Marziotte - contratenor - , trio Chandos - with flute and viola -...) and as a soloist with orchestra. She regularly appears on television and radio, works with composers to premiere new works and gives masterclasses. Through her music Pauline has become deeply involved in a number of humanitarian projects benefiting medicine and social causes, particularly those involving children. Pauline has an extensive repertoire ranging from works of the baroque period to contemporary creations. She also composes, sings, plays various harps and has always been interested in mixing instrumental music and other forms of expression, notably in collaboration with painters and actors. She is endorsed by Fondation Safran pour la Musique. |
